Orson - No Tomorrow

This is a fabulous, catchy track.

Orson's mix of pop, rock, R&B and soul (described on their website as early Prince meets Queen) seduces most who hear it, yet the group is still playing only a couple of modest, often off-circuit shows a month, and struggled to release their first full-length CD after over four years together.

You can now buy the album Bright Idea at CD Baby

Orson are Chris Cano on Drums, Chad Rachild Kevin Roentgen on Guitar, Jason Pebworth on Vocals, George Astasio on Guitar, and Johnny Lonely on Bass.

You can download two more tracks from the band's MySpace account.

Claire Toomey - One Last Look

Claire's career is on the up, with her recently signing with American management.

She plays The Bedford in London on Thursday August 18th.

Soft Pillow Kisses

The link in the title above gives links to five free mp3s from band Soft Pillow Kisses.

Some nice whispery twee pop, they're like a cross between Belle & Sebastian and The Isis Project, you'd certainly never guess that they hail from the Phillipines.

Bona Roba - In The Cut

Bona Roba - Reach In And Get Her
Here's the best new rock band I've heard in a good while.

Bona Roba - The Slip

Bona Roba - My Attorney

Thanks to Some Velvet for turning me on to Bona Roba.

Bona Roba - Cunningham Park

Rip off?

Anyone else think that the new Texas single Getaway completely rips off ABBA's Honey, Honey...?
